May 2007 to present – Editor for Mark Woollen & Associates.

 

January 2005 to April 2007 – Editor for Skip Film.

 

September 2003 to December 2005 – Lead Assistant Editor for Skip Film, subsidiary of Aspect Ratio. Working under Skip Chaisson, responsibilities include digitizing footage, overcutting trailers and TV spots, working the patch bay, setting up fibers, making dubs, prepping spots for finishing, making EDLs, and finding shots for editors. Work performed on Avid Media Composers and Avid Adrenaline.

 

November 2004 – Editor of the promotional video for the 2004 PAWS/LA foundation art auction.

 

July 2004 - Edited trailer for Art Thief Musical!, an independent film written and directed by Linus Lau. Trailer can be seen at www.artthiefmusical.com.

 

November 2003 – Editor of the promotional video for the 2003 PAWS/LA foundation art auction.

 

July 2003 to September 2003 – Assistant Story Editor on Starting Over, a daily reality television series produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and broadcast on NBC. Responsibilities included editing rough cuts of episodes using Avid Meridian systems as well as Avid Adrenaline.

 

July 2003 – Edited trailer for Gone, But Not Forgotten, an independent film written and directed by Michael Akers. One of the Top 10 Bestselling Gay & Lesbian titles for the past two years. Edited on Final Cut Pro, the trailer is on the DVD, which is available everywhere from Virgin Megastore to Netflix to Amazon.com. It can also be seen at www.unitedgaynetwork.com/trailer.htm.

 

April 2003 to Present – Independent Wedding Videographer and Editor. Editing done on Final Cut Pro.

 

April 2003 to June 2003 – Editor on Sin Gabriel, an independent film written and directed by Donald Alexander Sanchez. Edited on Final Cut Pro.

 

December 30, 2002 to January 5, 2003 – Final Cut Pro Consultant and Instructor for Oregon Health & Science University.

 

September 2002 to November 2002 – Editor on The Friendly Beast, an independent film written and directed by Azad Jafarian. Edited on Adobe Premiere. It can be seen at www.cimafilms.com.

 

July 29 to August 5, 2002 – Additional Editing on I Am a Writer: The Writing Workshop, a 3 hour extension of the Noyce Foundation documentary used for teacher instruction. Responsibilities included final editing and sound mix using Avid Media Composer.

 

June 2001 to August 2001 – Wedding Videographer and Editor for Kohl Photography and Video, Santa Clara, CA – responsibilities included directing, shooting, and editing wedding videos. Editing done on Final Cut Pro.

October 2002 – Script Supervisor for Gone, But Not Forgotten, an independent film written and directed by Michael Akers.

 

April 2002 to July 25, 2002 – Production Coordinator at Gaiam International. Responsibilities included location scouting, wardrobe fittings, prop acquisition, managing tape traffic, and putting together production books for shoots. In addition, I performed standard PA work, and kept postproduction on schedule.

 

January 2002 to March 2002 – Production Assistant at KPIX, CBS affiliate for San Francisco. Responsibilities included prepping and running scripts, teleprompting, and finding file tape for news stories.

 

July 26 to August 1, 2001 – Camera Operator for the Caribbean World Strongman Challenge 2001, commissioned by the National Strength Athletics Association, aired on Fox.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

á       I am at a near-expert level on Final Cut Pro, and am extremely proficient on multiple Avid systems, including Express, Media Composer, Meridian, and the new Adrenaline system. In addition, I am highly skilled in the world of linear deck-to-deck editors, including Panasonic Laptop editors (commonly used in news stations), and other non-linear editing programs such as iMovie and Adobe Premiere.

á       My gross and net words per minute is 75.

á       I have been using Macintosh and IBM / PC computers since I was eight years old, and so am very proficient in the following programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Photoshop.

 

EDUCATION:

á       Graduated from Santa Clara University in March 2002 with a BA in Communication with an emphasis in Video Production.

á       Attended Loyola Marymount University in the 1997 / 1998 year as a screenwriting major.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Innate ability to find moments, images, and lines of dialogue most other editors miss; writing, puppetry, working with children, public speaking, Intermediate Spanish and Portuguese.
